Raspberry leaf tea is a very popular medicinal herb to ease pains for women during menstruation and labour. They help to ease cramps, morning sickness, prevent bleeding of the gums and also relaxes the uterus during labour.
These effects have been confirmed by a study in Australia, which found that women taking raspberry leaves had a shorter second stage of labour and a lower rate of forceps delivery than women taking a placebo.
The raspberry tea leaf is suitable for taking at all times, but should be avoided during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
To brew: use one teaspoon of Raspberry Leaves per person in a warmed pot and add fresh boiling water. Allow to brew for 4 minutes or longer for a stronger infusion.
